Event description

Join Pride at Murdoch for a guided walk around campus, sharing stories of 5 different parts of Murdoch's LGBTIQA+ history with 5 speakers from our community. Hear from the Murdoch Art Gallery, West Pride Archives, Murdoch Queer Collective and more! The walk will last approximately an hour, with multiple walking breaks in between. We will end the walk with a short morning tea and the launch of our New Pride Lanyards!

When: Thursday November 7, 11am-12pm

Where: Murdoch University Pride Crossing Grassed Area - On Campus drive near Car Park 2

Accessibility: This is a tour around campus that features no steps, however does have some medium inclines. There are many opportunities for breaks and sitting at each stop. Please share in the accessibility section what we can do to enhance your exprience.  

Parking: The closest parking for the beginning and end of the walk is Car Park 2 or 3.

Cost: Free! 

Photography: The Lovely Samantha and Al from Marketing and Communications will be joining us to document the walk. Please let us know if you would like to be omitted from photographs. 

Lucky Door Prizes: When you check in, you'll receive a raffle ticket, which we will draw for a book pack of stirring LGBTIQA+ titles from Rabble Books. 

Wear: There is no dress code but we would love to see support for our LGBTIQA+ Community , so we encourage attendees to bring your pride shirts or brightest outfits. We will end the gathering with a group photo. Supportive shoes and a hat also recommended. 


We acknowledge the Whadjuk Noongar People as the Traditional Owners of the land on which Murdoch University stands, and pay our respects to Elders both past and present. We acknowledge the enduring connection to land and community, and acknowledge that this always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.
