Pride in Research Seminar

Queer Voices, Research & Lived Experience

Join SUPRA HDR Network, SUPRA Queer Network, and the University of Sydney Pride Network for an interdisciplinary HDR student seminar exploring queer research, identity, and lived experience.

The event will feature presentations from queer HDR student speakers across various disciplines, followed by a panel discussion and informal networking.

This hybrid seminar allows online participation (https://uni-sydney.zoom.us/j/89156239245?from=addon), though in-person attendance is strongly encouraged to facilitate discussion and networking. Whether you’re interested in queer research, lived experience perspectives, or simply connecting with the LGBTQIA+ community at USyd, all students and staff are warmly welcome.

About the Pride Network

The Pride Network is a welcoming community for LGBTQIA+ staff, students and allies to connect, celebrate and help shape a safer, more inclusive USYD. We champion LGBTQIA+ voices, support meaningful initiatives, and provide a pathway for community concerns to be raised with the University Executive. PERKS  (Pride in Education, Research and Knowledge Sharing)  is our academic and knowledge-sharing subcommittee. Established in late 2024, PERKS brings people together to share LGBTQIA+ research, lived experience, resources and good practice across the University.
