Pride Pledge Summer of Pride Networking & Collab Connect

You’re Invited to kick off 2026 with us!

Join us to kick off the Summer of Pride at the brand new New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) in Auckland in advance of it’s official opening later in February, proudly hosted in partnership with SkyCity.

We have an action-packed morning planned starting with morning tea and mix and mingle sponsored by SkyCity. We then launch our partnership with Rainbow Games Tāmaki Makaurau 2026 including how you and your business can get involved from participation, volunteering and sponsorship, followed by an inspiring panel of 2024 Games participants who have gone on to create successful new queer teams and events to build more queer participation in sports.

Finally, we get an exclusive tour of the new NZICC in advance of it’s official opening. We can’t wait!

This event is open to all Pride Pledge organisations and is a great chance to meet, network and connect with other Pride Pledge clients, their DEI leads, Pride Networks and more. It is also open to networks and connections of Rainbow Games and the SkyCity Pride Network.

Event starts 9am and finishes at 11am at The New Zealand International Convention Centre.

·         9am, Morning Tea Mix and Mingle

·         10.30am Official NZICC Tour

More about The Rainbow Games:

The Rainbow Games is Tāmaki Makaurau’s only LGBTQI+ multi-sport event providing sport, recreation and cultural activities enhancing the wellbeing of Rainbow communities in Aotearoa and the Pacific. Participants play in one of 15 sports such as touch rugby, football, swimming, kickball, basketball, netball, tennis, badminton and roller derby.  The inaugural Rainbow Games was held in April 2024 and the next one is in October 2026.  The first Rainbow Games was awarded the SkyCity Community and Advocacy Award at the 2025 Rainbow Excellence Awards for its contribution to inclusivity and community engagement.

The Games celebrate diversity by providing an environment where our communities feel safe and are welcome to participate.  We run a special event for Rainbow rangatahi, inviting them to be active and have some fun learning new sports.  At the same time, its a chance for rangatahi to connect with our many rainbow communities and see positive role models celebrating diversity and taking pride in our identities through sports. https://www.rainbowgames.co.nz/
