Description

This special primary prevention ideas workshop is for individuals and local organisations interested in working in the primary prevention of violence against women in the Goldfields region. Primary prevention is stopping violence before it starts.

It is a exploration and ideas workshop to begin the conversation of what primary prevention initiatives may work for your organisation or local community.

After the workshop, the collective ideas from the participants will be compiled into a short report and shared to attendees. The participants can use this report to further explore and collaborate with other organisations and workplaces on possible primary prevention actions and plans.

Primary prevention requires a whole-of-community approach and can be challenging to put into practice. By attending the workshops, you will be able to come away with some potential actions and plans to embed primary prevention in your organisation or community.

This is a FREE event and open to anyone.

As this workshop falls on the last day of the 16 Days of WA Campaign, DVassist will provide lunch (from 12 -1pm) and participants are encouraged to wear orange!

**Please note that individual messaging workshops (45 minutes duration) will be facilitated in the afternoon - this is a separate event and booking. Please contact Ella at DVassist (ceo@dvassist.org.au) if you are interested in the individual workshop.
