PrimeSCI! Synchrotron Workshops - July 2 and 3 2024

The PrimeSCI! Team is excited to welcome students from Year 9 - 12 to the Australian Synchrotron! Learn how the Australian Synchrotron combines science and technology to produce cutting edge research.

Includes a hands-on lab session plus a tour of the facility. Use specialised equipment to learn about the interaction of light and energy, nuclear physics, radioactivity and dark matter.

Interactions of Light and Matter (Year 11 - 12)
Tuesday 2 July 2024, 9:30am - 2:00pm

Light It Up (Year 9 - 10)
Wednesday 3 July 2024, 9:30am - 12:00pm or 1:00pm - 3:30pm

Cost: $54.50 per participant for 4.5hr workshop (plus $0.50 Humanitix booking fee)
$39.50 per participant for 2.5hr workshop (plus $0.50 Humanitix booking fee)

Funded Places: A limited number of fully funded places are available for participants to attend the PrimeSCI! Synchrotron Tours and Lab Sessions, who would not be able to attend without financial support. Please enrol your child in the age/year level appropriate sessions only. Sessions are not suitable for students from Year 8 and below.
