You will go home with a variety of one of a kind, handmade photographic cyanotype prints and the knowledge to continue your historic photo printing journey on your own. Suitable for beginners and those who would like to go beyond the photogram. 16+years.  Booking fee includes workshop materials, including up to 3, 5x7 digital negatives and prints.

Kim Sinclair obtained a degree in Photomedia from the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, Canada, at the very time when photography was entering its’ digital revolution.  Kim has since continued her work utilising traditional analogue print methods, telling stories utilising multiple imagery, layering techniques and sequencing methods through varying alternative print processes. Largely influenced by her drawing & painting background, the loose brush work, painterly application of light-sensitive solutions and hands-on arrangements are all integral components to the final aesthetic and have become common characteristics recognised throughout much of her early & recent work.  Since moving to Canberra in 2001, Kim has tutored many classes in traditional darkroom and alternative photographic practices. Printmaking has always been an area of exploration for Kim and the incorporation of polymer photogravure (non-toxic photo etching) in 2016 seemed a natural evolution in her print media journey.  Sinclair has had her work published, and it is held in private collections internationally, as well as in the collections of the State Libraries of NSW, South Australia, Qld and Victoria.  In recent years, Kim has opened up and runs the Sutton Village Gallery in Sutton, NSW while she continues to produce and collaborate in artists' projects.
