Printing with Nature Workshop: Creating a nature journal that reflects your connection to nature
Event description
As part of the Nature Festival join artists Mary-Anne Le Roux and Ann Gillespie to explore printmaking techniques including nature printing with a gelatine plate or relief printing using a printing press. The nature journal will take the form of a hand-sewn book or accordion book or series of greeting cards. Instructions and take-home recipe for a gelatin plate supplied so you can continue printmaking at home. Suitable for absolute beginners or artists looking to extend their practice. All art materials and morning tea provided (Please advise of any dietary requirements by email when booking at maryannelerouxart@gmail.com).
We will supply plant materials for printing but you can bring along any plant materials you want to use . Join us for a creative day of making and connecting with nature in beautiful Tea Tree Gully at Gallery 1855, 2 Haines Road, Tea Tree Gully 5091. Saturday 7th October 10-2pm. Please wear old shirt or apron. Cost $100, $75 concession, plus booking fee.
