Motherhood Through Linocut: Printmaking Workshops with Isabel Sykes

Join us for a creative exploration of motherhood through the beautiful art of traditional linocut printing! In collaboration with First Foods, a not-for-profit startup providing new mothers with FREE nutritious meal boxes, we invite you to express your experience of motherhood in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Exhibition Opportunity: As part of First Foods launch event on April 4th, 2025, at The Watershed, we would love to exhibit your prints on the wall.

Bring Your Inspiration: Feel free to bring your ideas, sketches, or any sources of inspiration, like a favorite quote or visual references. Having these on hand will help guide your linocut designs.

Workshop 1: 

• Date: Thursday, February 6th, 2025
• Time: 1 PM - 3 PM
• Cost: $25.00

Workshop 2:

• Date: Thursday, February 20th, 2025
• Time: 1 PM - 3 PM
• Cost: $25.00

What’s Included: All print materials provided, including:

• 1 X A5 block of silk-cut Lino
• Use of cutting tools, inks, rollers, and paper for printing

Who Can Attend: These workshops are suitable for beginners and experienced printmakers alike.

Family-Friendly: We understand that childcare can be a barrier, so feel free to bring your children! We’ll have a kids' art table with activities and materials available, facilitated by Rachel, who runs Storytime at The Watershed. Suitable for children ages 3 and over.
