It’s time to go ‘Privacy-First by design’

Event description

In an ever evolving world, privacy and trust in technology is increasingly vital to consumers. Especially in light of world events in the past year.

12 months ago New Zealand was in an unprecedented state of lockdown – and businesses were suffering. The term 'contact-tracing' was still in its infancy, and the general public were rightly hesitant to share their personal information on a piece of paper outside of every store they visited. This talk shares the learnings and success that the PaperKite team had launching Rippl: a Privacy-first contact tracing solution and integration partner with the Ministry of Health.

Designing with privacy-first as our core-promise fundamentally changed the way the user experience was designed, and ultimately resulted in Rippl being awarded the New Zealand Privacy Trust Mark - awarded to products and services that are outstanding in the way they manage personal information.
