Procurement for Good Workshop

This event has passed Get Tickets

Event description

The New Zealand Government allocates billions of dollars for public works, support and services. This does not consider the additional spend by the private sector per annum. How this money is circulated in our economy and within our communities plays a critical role in supporting community wealth building, transitioning to a green economy and ensuring shared prosperity for all New Zealanders.

Procurement (or more specifically social or sustainable procurement) is one critical lever that must be used to determine how, where and with whom that money reaches and thus the future of our economy and the wellbeing of our communities. In this workshop, Annabel will take us on a journey through the changing shape of procurement in New Zealand and how we can procure more sustainably through our own businesses and organisations.
