Description

Step in front of the camera and walk away with a professional headshot - without the usual price tag or guesswork!

In this session, budding actors can book a one-on-one slot with acclaimed photographer Ped Duke.

Each participant will have a 15-minute session with Ped, who will light, stage and shoot your portraits. Your images will then be professionally processed and delivered ready to use for auditions, casting calls, portfolios and more.

Sessions take place at Rosny Farm in The Cottage, with a full studio setup including professional lighting and backdrop. Rosny Farm’s Andrew Casey (actor and acting teacher) will also be on hand to offer guidance on posing and getting the most out of your shoot.

Duration:
15-minute sessions, running between 10:00am and 2:00pm

What to know:
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to ensure a smooth session.

Sessions run to a strict schedule. Late arrivals risk forfeiting their slot.

Please note the following:

Refunds will be processed up to the 10th July.

Photos will take up to two weeks to process and send to individuals. You will receive 2 full body shots, and 2 head shots.

  • Dress: Wear something special that you feel suits you and helps you look your best and feel confident. Some tips to get the best result:

  • Colours: Choose jewel tones (emerald, plum, navy, burgundy) or rich, solid colours that make you pop. Avoid colours that wash you out or match your skin tone too closely.

  • Style & Fit: Wear form-fitting or tailored clothing rather than baggy clothes.  V-necks and open necklines are generally best to highlight the face.

  • Variety: Bring a couple of options for different looks, such as a casual top and a jacket or shirt for throwing over the top.

  • What to Avoid: Busy patterns, neon colours, logos, turtlenecks, and large, distracting jewellery.

  • Commercial vs. Theatrical: Commercial shots benefit from brighter, fun, and colourful clothing. Theatrical/dramatic shots often work better with darker, more muted, or neutral tones

  • Include some subtle makeup if you would like to enhance your features a little– this is different for everyone and is a matter of personal style and taste.
