Pro-to-Pro Garden Tour: Hello Yarrow

Join fellow native plant enthusiasts for an exclusive tour of Hello Yarrow, the evolving home garden of horticulturist and landscape designer Brian Bautista.

What began as Brian's very first garden six years ago has grown into both a living laboratory and the foundation of a new career. After leaving the visual effects industry, Brian earned a Certificate in Horticulture from UCLA Extension and is now pursuing a professional Certificate in Landscape Architecture. His garden reflects a belief that residential landscapes can play a meaningful role in addressing climate change by creating low-carbon, wildlife-supporting spaces that provide food, shelter, and shade for all forms of life.

Today, the 2,240-square-foot landscape is composed of approximately 98% California native plants and continues to evolve as Brian experiments with new species, ecological design strategies, and habitat-building techniques. Visitors will gain insight into the successes, lessons learned, and ongoing evolution of a garden that balances beauty, biodiversity, and practical sustainability.
