Professor Bob Morgan AO Oration 2026

The University of Newcastle are hosting a free public oration in honour of Professor Uncle Bob Morgan AO hosted at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music, cnr Laman Street and Auckland Street, Newcastle on Friday 27th November 2026.

The intention of the public lecture is to provide a free event where the broader community can hear about important issues impacting the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

This year's event will be the second of its kind, featuring a keynote presentation by Dr Kelvin Kong AM, Professor, and Australia's first identified Indigenous surgeon. Renowned for his work in the Ear, Nose and Throat speciality, Kelvin continues to research and broaden his knowledge within the medical field to improve health outcomes in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, in particular for the benefit of our communities' children.
