A Chemical Perspective on Quantum Information Science

Quantum Information Science (QIS) combines quantum computing, sensing and communication technologies, and is rapidly reshaping how we approach complex scientific and technological challenges.

In this seminar, Professor Goodson will discuss the development of organic and inorganic materials for quantum optical and electronic applications, including their use in photovoltaics, light-emitting devices and quantum sensors. Drawing on pioneering research using ultra-fast spectroscopy and quantum optical techniques, he will explore how understanding processes at the molecular level is helping to advance the next generation of quantum technologies.

This seminar will be of interest to researchers and students working in chemistry, physics, engineering, materials science, information technology and related disciplines.

Insights on Working and Studying at International Research Institutions

Following the seminar, Professor Goodson will join an expert panel discussion exploring the opportunities, challenges and benefits of working and studying at leading international research institutions.
