Programming Competition

Brush up on your competitive programming and assemble your best coding team as the annual UTS ProgComp has returned!

The flagship programming event at UTS is back in person for 2024, and is proudly supported by WiseTech Global who have granted a $3000 prize pool for the winning teams as well as sponsored free lunch for the event.

WiseTech have sponsored ProgComp in 2022 and 2023, and their support helps us facilitate other society activities throughout the year. WiseTech is committed to the future generation of programmers through the UTS Computer Science IDeA programme and their Earn & Learn programme, and have also become home for a number of past and present ProgSoc’ers.

We hope WiseTech’s support and sponsorship inspires people to give it their best shot during the competition and come back to level up in future, and look forward to working together with WiseTech again in the future.

This competition is free and open to all ProgSoc Members from any faculty. There will be questions for all skill levels, whether you're a beginner or a Leetcode veteran. Competitors may enter in teams of up to three people or compete solo and free food will be provided on the day. There are only 60 spots available for this competition. What is required from you:

• Advent of Code style problems
• Program locally on your computer, using any language you want
• Bring a laptop, but it will be limited to 1 device per team
• Teams are 2-3, pick your own or let us create a group for you

• IF APPLYING AS A TEAM: Ensure that you register tickets for all your team members.
• IF APPLYING INDIVIDUALLY: Ensure that you indicate that you need to be put in a team.  

Please note that if you are a Non-UTS ProgSoc Member, you will need to be in a team with at least ONE UTS ProgSoc Member.

Prizes will be awarded to UTS Students only.
