Project Classes 4 WEEKS (5pm-7:30pm)

Need help with alterations, mending, or following a pattern? Perhaps some assistance with inserting a zip, changing an op shop find or sprucing up a pair of jeans.

Supporting all your creative sewing needs, our project classes are in a small encouraging environment (maximum of 6 people) where 2 Upcycle Newcastle Team Members will support and guide you through your personal projects. Participants are able to use our sewing machines (including semi-industrials), overlockers, cutting tables, rotary cutters etc.

These classes require you to have basic sewing skills, including threading a machine and understanding basic sewing construction. Please see our beginner sewing classes if you need the sewing basics.

The 4 sessions are Wednesdays 3rd till 24th Sept, 5pm-7:30pm.

Please Note: Materials from Upcycle Newcastle are not included in this cost (you are welcome to purchase fabrics and haberdashery as you go).

These project classes are created using circular economy principles. This means we love using many recycled and reclaimed fabrics, and haberdashery items for our sewing projects. We are deeply passionate about diverting textile waste from landfill and we do this through upcycling.
