Event description
Wooragee Landcare is presenting a workshop on propagating tussocky plants like Mat-rushes, sedges and grasses. They can be propagated easily at home using a technique called "division". Come and learn how to do this, and pot up and take some home for your garden.
Why tussocky plants are great
- atttractive
- tough
- take minimal maintenance and water
- great habitat for lizards, food for birds like red-browed finches, good erosion control and soil stabilisers
What to bring : bring gloves, good boots, trousers, a box or container to take home some pots of divided plants if you don't want to make a mess in your car.
We will provide morning tea
We will have some tools but if you have a spade it could be useful.Â
While this is a free event we do need you to register.
