Event details:
Join the Central Tablelands Local Land Services for this practical three-day course designed to help landholders develop a comprehensive property plan while building skills in key areas of farm business and natural resource management.
Throughout the course, participants will receive support and guidance on:
basic financial management
calculating farm emissions
soil health and management
vegetation and biodiversity
enterprise management
livestock production
weed and pest control
farm biosecurity
cultural heritage awareness
developing a practical property plan.
This hands-on course is ideal for farming families, business partners and farm staff. Participants are encouraged to bring multiple people (max 3) from their property or business to work together on the development of their plan, ensuring everyone is involved in future decision-making and management.
By the end of the course, attendees will have a greater understanding of their property's opportunities and challenges, along with a practical framework to support productivity, profitability and sustainability into the future.
Course dates:
Workshops will run from 8:45 am – 4:30 pm.
Day 1: Thursday 22 October
Day 2: Thursday 29 October
Day 3: Thursday 3 December
Cost:
$110 per property, covering up to 3 participants.
This fee includes all mapping materials, training resources and catering.
Additional details:
Additional information, including what to bring, will be provided prior to the commencement of the course.
Please advise any dietary requirements (e.g. gluten-free, vegetarian) when registering.
Participants with severe food allergies are encouraged to provide their own catering.
