Protect Your Business From Financial Crime | Anti-Money Laundering Information Session

Financial crime probably isn't something most business owners expect to encounter in their day-to-day operations, but knowing what to look for can make all the difference.

Ahead of the busy summer trading period, the Albany Chamber of Commerce & Industry is partnering with Crime Stoppers WA to deliver a free Anti-Money Laundering information session for local businesses. (You do not need to be an ACCI member to attend).

In less than an hour, you'll learn more about money laundering, how legitimate businesses can become caught up in financial crime, the warning signs to be aware of and what you can do if something doesn't seem right.

And something many people don't realise: Crime Stoppers is not the police.

Crime Stoppers provides a way for members of the community to share information about criminal or suspicious activity, and this session is an opportunity to hear directly from their team, ask questions and better understand the role they play.

Whether you're in retail, hospitality, tourism, professional services or another local industry, this is practical information worth having, particularly as Albany heads into one of its busiest times of year.

The session itself will run for less than an hour, with tea, coffee and light refreshments provided.
