Protect Your Digital Life

Practical steps to improve your privacy and security—online and in daily life.

Chicago Workshop

Chicagoans are facing unprecedented levels of digital surveillance and intimidation from federal, state, and private security actors. From cell phone tracking to social media monitoring, our everyday digital habits leave us vulnerable.

This one-hour workshop will give you practical, hands-on tools to protect your digital privacy and strengthen your cybersecurity. You’ll learn how to secure your devices, communicate safely, and understand your rights when confronted with surveillance or search and seizure.

Why now in Chicago

Chicago is seeing an increase in coordinated federal and law‑enforcement activity, along with expanded use of advanced surveillance tools like cell‑site simulators and large‑scale data analysis platforms. These systems can sweep up information from everyday people—not just targeted investigations. That’s why simple, practical steps matter now more than ever.
