Event description

Your booking with Humanitix will be an express of interest for this workshop.

A staff member will contact you by phone prior to this workshop for your confirmation in attending. Then the booklet with be emailed or sent to you prior to the online workshop.

This Parenting Service is funded by the Department of Communities to support parents and carers of children who reside in the local government areas of Mundaring, Swan, Bassendean or Bayswater.

Protective Behaviours is a personal safety program that teaches children skills and strategies to recognise and respond to unsafe situations.

By sharing Protective Behaviours with your child, you will be helping to develop lifelong skills of assertiveness, self-confidence, problem-solving, communication, and resilience.

The program is underpinned by two core themes.

"We all have the right to feel safe at all times."

This theme emphasises the inherent right of every individual, especially children, to feel safe in their environments.

"We can talk with someone about anything, no matter what it is."

This theme fosters open communication, assuring children that they can discuss any topic with a trusted adult without fear of judgment.

As this is an online delivery you require a laptop or iPad with a camera.

This is also not suitable for children to be present in the room during workshop delivery.
