In this 90 minute workshop, you’ll practise communicating startup ideas with others in an elevator pitch, learn about how founders structure pitches, and develop presentation skills that will help you in life, university and startup-land!

Founders spend a lot of time communicating their ideas and traction. Whether you’re looking for a co-founder who shares your vision, making a sale, or pitching to a potential investor, sharing a clear and compelling message is key to your success.

Who can join?

There is no assumed knowledge to join Proto.

Proto has been developed for University of Sydney students, alumni, and staff, and members of the public are welcome to join this introductory workshop for free.

Is there a cost?

Proto programs are free for University of Sydney students, alumni and staff. You can purchase a ticket if you don’t fit that description.

Proto is made free for you by the USU. You can join the USU for more great perks here!

Do I need an idea?

You don’t need to have an idea to join Proto, but you’ll get the most value if you do plan to develop an idea as part of the program.

What is Proto?

Do you have an idea for a startup, or a passion to make an impact? Proto is the INCUBATE program designed to help you develop ideas and evolve them into early-stage startups.

It's a series of workshops that are open to all, and are free for University of Sydney students, alumni and staff.
