Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) including Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (HLTAID009)

The Murraylands Skills Centre is excited to facilitate the Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) including Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (HLTAID009).

Many workplaces require employees to maintain a first aid qualification. With first aid skills such as CPR, you can save someone’s life.

In a TAFE SA first aid course, you’ll learn from working paramedics and registered nurses. This gives you the benefit of learning from health professionals with current experience in dealing with emergency situations.

This comprehensive first aid course is appropriate for everyday emergency situations. The course is suitable for a senior first aider or person looking to increase their skills and knowledge including but not limited to the following areas:
• Responding to an emergency in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines
• DRSABCD action plan and emergency response
• Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on an adult and infant
• Use of AED (defibrillator)
• Managing an unconscious patient
• Treating burns, wounds and bleeding
• Assist a person who is choking
• Handling medical emergencies including chest pain, asthma, anaphylaxis
• Reacting appropriately to someone who is in shock
• Treating fractures, sprains, strains, head, neck and spinal injuries
• Legal, workplace and community considerations
• Communication and reporting of incidents
