New project by People's Artist of Ukraine Gregory Melskyi, PSALM is a synthesis of poetry, music, theatre, and cinema.
When Russia's full-scale aggression in Ukraine began, Gregory decided to create a program that could counter Russian propaganda that is clouding the minds of people not only in Russia, but all over the world; something that penetrates the very heart of the audience.
It's not a mono-performance we’re used to, not just an artist stage; it’s a musical and poetic composition! It’s a show, a mono show... in the synthesis of Poetry, Music, Theater and Cinema.
Poems, ballads of the outstanding Ukrainian poet Vasyl Makhno, set to music, which Gregory Melskyi skillfully performs in combination with terrible footage of the war in Ukraine. PSALM penetrates hearts, revealing all the tragedy and injustice of today. The artist brings to the audience all his pain and the pain of millions of residents of Ukraine, which this war brought.
The author believes that the whole world should see this program! The program is conducted in Ukrainian with English subtitles.
PSALM is a kind of REQUIEM, consonant with Mozart's REQUIEM!

ПСАЛЬМА
Програма «Псальма» – новий синтетичний проект Народного артиста України Григора Мельського, в якому поєднано поезію, музику, театр та кіно.
Ідея Григорія Мельського полягала у тому, щоби силою мистецтва протистояти отруйній російській пропаганді та зафіксувати трагізм сьогодення. В основу «Псальми» покладено вірші про війну Василя Махна, які поет почав писати одразу після 24 лютого. Більшість поезій покладено на музику, які актор майстерно виконує у поєднанні зі страшними кадрами війни в Україні.
«Псальма» через трагічність російсько-української війни, хоче достукатись до кожного серця, розповідаючи про біль та жахіття, які переживають українці.
Виконується українською мовою з англійськими субтитрами.
