Psychedelic Integration Circle | Cottesloe

Event description

The Australian Psychedelic Society invites you to attend our next psychedelic integration circle. We are grateful to be able to host this event at 'Nature of Self Yoga', a beautiful studio in Cottesloe that will be a supportive space for us. We hope to create a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment for anyone seeking to integrate a past experience, or learn more before they participate in one in the future. We will support you to make sense of challenging experiences, to share a meaningful experience with like-minded people, and to connect with the local community.

We acknowledge that recreational use of psychedelics continues despite a long history of criminalisation. The group does not encourage or condone recreational use but we do provide harm minimisation support and psycho-education to those who make their own choice to do this. The circle will focus on learning tools and techniques to work through experiences in a structured way, guiding members through a process of reflection and action.

We are very grateful for Jozay & Kylie for offering to facilitate this evening. Jozay and Kylie have a wealth of experience running groups, and are knowledgeable, intelligent and passionate about this thriving culture of psychedelics we find ourselves in.

FACILITATORS

Jozay Longden is a registered clinical psychologist with many years of experience providing psychological and psychotherapeutic services within Perth. Having graduated from Oxford University, she went on to obtain a Masters degree in Counselling from Notre Dame University and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Murdoch University.

With an emphasis on how attachment experiences influence emotions, behaviour, autobiographical memory and narrative, Jozay applies an interpersonal neurobiology approach to help clients develop a healthy mind, an integrated brain, and empathic relationships.

One of Jozay’s interests include the recent resurgence in the use of psychedelics as a healing modality for the treatment of trauma. As psychedelics are illegal she does not encourage psychedelic referrals, nor does she offer psychedelic therapy. However she tailors therapy to meet the specific needs of her clients and offers psychedelic integration therapy under a harm minimisation approach, and provides a supportive, and psychedelic-informed therapeutic flavour to her work.

Kylie Wilson weaves together her abilities of energy healing & sound alchemy to create an expanded space of integrity for participants to heal, transform and regenerate. Kylie began her journey with the healing world in 2015 and has since been learning how to work with energy in the body to assist people to heal, move, and transform traumas they might carry with them, as well as to support people to connect with their authentic self and natural gifts.

Kylie has a strong passion for the powerful influence that sound and vibration have on our physical, psychological and spiritual wellbeing. Working with various instruments and the essential and powerful instrument of voice, Kylie likes to integrate the healing power of sound into ritual spaces to support groups of people in healing journeys. Since 2018 Kylie has been incorporating sacred sound in her work and started creating her own workshops, healing circles and wellness retreats, honing her ability to create an authentic space for many people, and hold a safe anchor for openness and transformation.

Kylie believes the most potent wisdom resides within us, we are own best healers, and freedom comes when we release our own expectations and find the joy in the journey.
