Ethicist and Psychedelic Ethics Specialist with a MA, PhD in Philosophy exploring ethical decision-making and moral psychology

Sandra is an Ethics Advisor active in Psychedelic Integration, Therapy, Education and Advocacy as well as a Psychedelic facilitator, cofounder of EPIC (Ethical Psychedelic International Community) and DecrimFirst collaborative communities as well as the leader of the Santa Cruz Psychedelic Society. Sandra has been teaching Bioethics at the University of California, Santa Cruz for the Biomolecular Engineering and Philosophy Departments for the past ten years, worked for many years in the tech industry primarily at Apple, and is a Reiki Master in multiple lineages. Sandra focuses on listening and uplifting the voices and values of the Psychedelic Community especially the disenfranchised with the heart space intention of compassion and love.

Dr. Alana Roy

Founder/ Director of the Signs of Life Psychology

Dr. Alana (Lani) Roy is a dedicated and accomplished professional in the field of psychology, social work, and advocacy. As the Founder and Director of The Signs of Life Psychology, Lani has been actively involved in mental health, suicide prevention, trauma, sexual abuse, family violence, and the disability sector for over 15 years.
Lani's expertise encompasses a wide range of areas, including borderline personality and dissociative identity disorder. She has worked extensively in community settings, supporting victims of ritual abuse, childhood and adult sexual assault, women in the sex industry, and survivors of human trafficking. Lani specialises in complex trauma, disabilities, and dual diagnosis, and she is known for her commitment to providing therapy in Auslan sign language to the Deaf community.
With a focus on harm reduction and evidence-based therapies, Lani has been at the forefront of the emerging field of psychedelics. She is an Associate Research Fellow for Swinburne University and a Founding Board Member of the Australian Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Practitioners (AMAPP). Lani collaborates closely with key advisors and researchers to ensure public and professional safety in this rapidly evolving field.
