Life can be unpredictable. Natural disasters devastate communities, and individuals can be unexpectedly impacted by traumatic events. We all wish to respond in a supportive way, yet we often feel as though we lack knowledge, skills or confidence to respond effectively.

Psychological First Aid is a practical and flexible approach to assist people experiencing distress following disasters.

At this workshop you will learn about:

how people respond to trauma
how to provide supportive presence
how to provide psychological first aid safely
how to stay calm while supporting others in distress
how to maintain your wellbeing

This workshop is open to all experience levels, and does not require any previous mental health skills training.
