She will provide an overview of the link between psychological safety, WHS psychosocial hazards, and the new positive duty to eliminate workplace sexual harassment and discrimination. Her insights bridge practice with an understanding of the evolving regulatory requirements for ensuring psychological safety at work.

Dr Varina Michaels (Paisley Group & WoCSAW Research Institute): A global expert on intersectional DEI, culture, and leadership. Dr Michaels holds a PhD in Intersectional Identities at Work and has extensive experience in DEI consulting, education, and research. Representing Paisley Group, known for partnering with organisations to develop safe, respectful, and inclusive cultures, and leading the Women of Colour Safety and Work (WoCSAW) Research Institute, Dr Michaels will provide a foundational understanding of psychological safety in the workplace, applying an intersectional lens. She will also address the common misconception of whether psychological safety equates to a workplace free from discrimination. Her expertise bridges rigorous research with practical insights into building inclusive cultures.
Nikki Tugano (SeenCulture): The Founder and CEO of SeenCulture, a platform focused on unlocking untapped employee potential through workforce visibility.
