Pub Therapy: Communication Skills
Description
The quality of our relationships depends a great deal on the ways we communicate. The way we say things (or don't) can make or break us; learning how to listen and express your needs in equal measure is the secret to lasting healthy relationships.
But it's fucking hard.
So come along and workshop some strategies and take home some tools you can use next time you need to have a hard chat.
Joining me this week will be guest facilitator and mental health social worker extraordinaire Ellie Walker.
Pub Therapy came from wanting to promote mental health and create accessible therapy for my community; I really just love what I do and want to share it.
It's aimed at anyone who wants to learn something new, find tangible life skills in a relaxed environment, connect with other locals, and take home some simple tools to make life feel a little easier. Simplified therapy for the masses, with beer.
No previous sessions required; this is a non-committal event series that anyone can attend.
Please note: I'm a mental health occupational therapist, not a psychologist. This space is somewhere I will absolutely encourage sharing and group discussions, but not a place that will ask you to share your deepest thoughts or experiences.
Unfortunately this venue is not fully accessible and does require stairs for access.
