Padre Coffee Public Cupping
Join us while we showcase all of the blends in our coffee offering at Padre Coffee Paddington! Cupping is a professional practice used by roasters, traders and coffee producers, but it's something anyone who enjoys coffee can do - this includes absolute beginners all the way through to home baristas and industry professionals! Cupping is a great way to taste many different coffees side-by-side, and develop palate awareness. Our blend range is favoured by customers who brew espresso and stovetop. If you've been wondering what the difference is between our different blends, thinking to try a new coffee for home but want to make sure you enjoy the flavour profile first or are just interested to have a go at cupping coffee, we welcome you to come along and join us.
Although this is a free event, numbers will be capped at 10 to ensure everyone has adequate time with each coffee. Be sure to secure your spot as we will be unable to allow walk-ins on the day.
Session goals:
- Develop coffee knowledge and palate awareness by tasting different coffees side-by-side
- Build familiarity with the coffee flavour wheel and cupping language
- Sip on some tasty brews!
FAQ's
What can I bring into the event?
Just your fresh palate! Try to avoid wearing strong perfumes or body sprays, or eating anything overly salty, spicy or garlicky prior to cupping. All cupping equipment will be provided.
