Public Lands Day

Big Morongo Canyon Preserve will conduct a Public Lands Day "clean up" on Saturday, October 26, from 8 am - noon,  with the Bureau of Land Management.  We have two "clean up" opportunities:

• One group will be restoring off-road vehicle impacts within the BLM Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC) which includes removing discarded appliances and construction materials.  A "roll off" bin will be deposited in this area for placement of the trash.
• The second group, "Weed Warriors", will help to pull invasive species within the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve. A second  "roll off" bin will be deposited at the Education Center for easy disposal of bagged weeds.

A pizza lunch and cold water will be provided.  Pre-registration is required.  Meet in the parking lot of the preserve.
