Public Meeting: Protect Women's Pay
Event description
Without any warning or consultation, the Government forced through a law change that will stop thousands of women getting the pay they deserve.
For generations, hundreds of thousands of women in Aotearoa have fought tirelessly for equal pay for work of equal value and we know many women in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland are outraged at National’s choice to take money out of the pockets of women.
Labour stands proudly for equal pay and for pay equity. We will stand up now, in the hope that our daughters and future generations don’t have to.
Hosted by local MP Shanan Halbert, the public meeting on pay equity and protecting women's pay will welcome, Hon Carmel Sepuloni spokesperson for Women, Hon Jan Tinetti spokesperson for Workplace Relations and Safety and CTU Vice President Rachel Mackintosh.
Nau mai, haere mai - join the movement to protect women's pay.
