Public Talk: “Love and Attachment: Finding Fulfilment in the Heart”
Event description
In our relationships and daily life, it can be easy to confuse love with attachment. In this talk, Venerable Tony Beaumont will explore the profound difference between the two, showing how cultivating genuine love nurtures fulfilment, while clinging attachment leads to suffering.
Drawing on the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, Ven. Tony will guide participants through reflections and practical insights on:
Understanding the distinction between love and attachment
How to cultivate love that is freeing, compassionate, and supportive of others
Recognizing patterns of attachment that create inner stress and dissatisfaction
Applying these teachings in everyday life to deepen joy and wellbeing
This talk is open to all — no prior experience of meditation or Buddhism is required. Following the session, participants are invited to stay for afternoon tea, offering a chance to reflect and connect.
