In collaboration with the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) we invite you to join us either in-person in Sydney or virtually on 8 December at 4:00pm (AEDT) for the launch of our latest guidance publication focused on managing modern slavery within maritime shipping supply chains.

Despite being a key area of modern slavery and broader human rights risks, many Australian businesses are still in the early stages of identifying, managing, and mitigating human rights impacts associated with their use of maritime shipping. The publication seeks to raise awareness of key indicators of forced labour in the maritime context, provide the seafarer perspective, and outline practical steps that Australian businesses can take to manage risks.

Launch event:

Join us at out hybrid launch to discuss the research process, findings from the publication, and the current human rights risk factors present at sea.

An in-person launch will be held in Sydney, kindly hosted by KPMG.
The presentations will also be live streamed on Microsoft Teams. A meeting link will be sent to your inbox prior to the event.
