PULiiMA 2025 – Echoes of the Past, Voices of the Future

A transformative five-day event that unites global leaders, innovators, and community champions to celebrate, connect, and strengthen the future of Indigenous languages and culture. This year’s theme, "Echoes of the Past, Voices of the Future" honours the wisdom of our ancestors while embracing the innovations and technology that will carry our languages forward. 

The event will feature dedicated spaces for Young Champions (18-35) presented by First Languages Australia, the 2nd Women In Language Gathering and the inaugural Men's Gathering presented by Gadhungal Marring, and a three-day conference, all designed to foster collaboration, empowerment, and long-lasting connections. 

Although the five-day event is valued at approximately $2,500 (think WIPCE rego for those that have attended), the PULiiMA team is dedicated to making it accessible to everyone passionate about language conservation and technology in Indigenous communities. Thanks to government and sponsor support, all delegates can attend at a reduced cost with the main 3 day event starting from $550 and additional day events either $50 or $100 per event. Government and businesses will also note this is an extremely good value opportunity in attending with their own special rates.
