In a society where small talk is the norm... the busy-ness of schedules pervades... and the version of you that performs “fine” is the main character...

Underneath it all, there is a PULSE, asking to be felt, asking to move.

Here is an opportunity to stop pretending & performing. Where ALL of your parts are invited out to play... and are seen as a gift to the space. We are welcoming in the deeper layers of US-ness. Where we truly get to feel what's moving through our community ~ from the most elevating joy to the depths of our grief.

PULSE is an ecstatic dance that uniquely welcomes Eros onto the dance floor.

Eros is often very much alive in our dance ~ it is the current underneath connection, attraction, aliveness & so much more ~ But how actively do we allow ourselves to engage with it, to explore it, and to what extent? Often there is a point where we stop ourselves because it's "not appropriate" or "too much."

Dance Meets Tantra invites you to explore a wider range of possibility in your dance and our collective dance community.

Our facilitators will provide some baseline boundaries, and will be weaving in facilitation around Presence, Attunement, & Consent, to support safety & create magic on the dance floor.

Eros can be a potent activator. Come experience how it ignites your dance & your life.

Capped at 40 people, because what we are building can not happen in a crowd of 200 strangers.

What to Expect

First, We'll start with an opening circle ~ setting the frequency and ground rules for our time together.

Then we'll move into tantric & relational practices, creating a deep foundation of presence, attunement and aliveness to prime us for what's next.

Finally... We DANCE! We bring all the juice cultivated in the first half of the workshop all out onto the dance floor.

About Dance Meets Tantra

Born in Boulder, CO, Dance Meets Tantra has grown into a movement uniting conscious dance with intimacy practices, ritual, and shadow play. Our events are potent, playful, and trauma-informed ~ crafted to welcome both vulnerability and eros, light and shadow, in ways that are alive and human.

Dance Meets Tantra is a Space of:

~ Vulnerability -- feeling and owning the full range of emotion.

~ Permission -- expressing the full spectrum of self, including eros.

~ Safety -- rooted in boundaries, consent, and responsibility

Our Approach to Tantra

For us, Tantra is the art of being fully alive. We encompass the entirety of humanness, including our sexual energy, but not entirely focused on this, as some may perceive ~ eros, when it arises, is honored as sacred. We draw from both classical and neo-tantric lineages, blending ancient wisdom with contemporary practice. In dance, this becomes visceral: the body as doorway, erotic energy as life-force, boundaries as portals into freedom.

Arrival: Doors Open at 6:30pm. Doors close and container starts at 7:00pm.**
Workshop time: 7:00pm-10:00pm

**No one will be admitted after doors close time. There will be no exceptions.

There are no refunds. Tickets are transferrable to another participant in advance of the event and we ask that you be responsible for finding the buyer.

Briana Cribeyer

Briana is a sacred sexuality practitioner, who is enlivened by creating unique spaces for connection and self-awareness. She has extensively studied emotional intelligence, trauma-informed care, and leadership development. A facilitator with numerous organizations worldwide, including The International School of Temple Arts, she brings empathy and deep listening, as well as tough, playful love. An intimacy + relationship guide for couples and individuals, Briana is passionate about supporting people to find equanimity in all relationship styles.

Drew

Drew is a facilitator and space-holder principally devoted to supporting embodied, intentional, and desire-forward communities in Austin. His work centers deep communication, authenticity, and consent with facilitation committed to surrendered leadership, vulnerability, curiosity and joy. Across the varied spaces he hosts and facilitates participants are guided in ecstatic dance, contact improvisation, authentic relating, consent work, power dynamics & power exchange, breathwork, and neo-tantric practices.

Drew is committed to creating permission fields to demystify desire, lower the stakes, and loosen stories that impede personal exploration and interpersonal connection. His containers emphasize co-creation, embodied consent, personal sovereignty, and joy.

Around town, you can find him hosting breathwork, building & facilitating temple spaces, and dancing his ass off.
