Join us for a family friendly event!
When: Saturday 2nd May 2026
Time: 9am-2pm
Where: Hāwea Food Forest, 130 Domain Road, Hāwea Flat
Three workshops to attend. Please register:
Intro to Biodynamics with Su at 9.30am
Foraging with Nicky at 10.30am
Pruning with Ben (Dr Compost) 12.30pm
Pumpkin competition announced at 12pm with food available between 11.30am-12.30pm.

Donations to support Hawea Food Forest: $5 pp per workshop
Bring your pumpkins for a chance to win a prize, there will be prizes for the prettiest pumpkin, the biggest pumpkin and the funniest pumpkin.
The festival will have food & drinks, photo opportunities, workshops about gardening and growing your own food and face painting with Kahu Youth.
In the case of severe weather, we will advise you of cancellation of the event on Saturday 2nd May morning by 8.30am and will post on Community Link FB page of the cancellation notice.
