Puppet Power 2025 explores immigration through the transformative lens of puppetry arts — shedding light on the personal journeys, struggles, and triumphs of those who cross borders seeking a new home.

Join us for an inspiring two-day hybrid event featuring:

Saturday:
- Five (5) live-streamed watch parties with an engaging host and puppet making activities inbetween
- A vibrant community-building Saturday evening dinner and ceilidh featuring professional puppet performances
Sunday:
- Choice of one (1) puppet workshop with hands on puppet making activity
- A Rapid Ideation showcasing puppet ideas for Calgary social agencies working with immigrants

This 13th edition of WP Puppet Theatre’s signature festival is a call to action — perfect for educators, social workers, students, and helping professionals looking to use puppetry in meaningful ways.

Donation to UNIMA International: The Cooperation Commission provides aid to puppeteers in situations of catastrophe. This encompasses disasters caused by weather or climate, industrial, political or social situations of extreme distress. PP25 has pledged to give a portion of every registration to this cause.

Bursary Application: WP Puppet Theatre's commitment to accessibility means we strive to reduce or remove financial barriers where possible. We are pleased to offer a limited number of bursaries to Puppet Power 2025. Interested parties can complete the online application bursary form for free attendance to the full weekend of events.

Transport Information: Centre for Newcomers offers plenty of free parking and the closest LRT Station to the venue is Marlborough Station.
