Event description

Educators SA Purpose of Public Education Consultation

The future of public education in SA is up for grabs and YOU can be part of making it happen!

Your thoughts and ideas can transform the future for the learners of SA!

The Department for Education is developing a Purpose of Public Education Statement which will define how public education develops over the next decade.  This statement will also impact on all public educators and on non-Government schools over time.

You can help shape this Future – you can make a difference!

We believe it is critical that educators are a key part of the process of developing this landmark document, so we have decided to get as many educators together as possible to inform what goes into it.

We are thrilled to work with the Department to host a consultation forum and you are invited.

If you are an early career or experienced educator, a support officer, a leader, a director, a principal or any role involved in education, we need YOU!

Thursday 16th February

4:30 to 7:00pm

Adelaide Convention Centre

North Terrace

or

Online

The Department’s Chief Executive, Professor Martin Westwell, will start the consultation with a presentation on the Purposes Statement and why it is so important.  You will then have the opportunity to meet with colleagues in discussion groups to consider what should be included in the Statement and address some important questions.  The process will be fun, interactive, collegiate, and productive.

There is no cost and refreshments will be provided for those attending the Convention Centre.

This is too good an opportunity to miss - make sure your ideas and experiences help shape our public education into the future.

To participate, click the register button in the right-hand corner and choose either to attend at the Convention Centre or online.
