PVAW Community of Practice 2022
Event description
Who is the Community of Practice (CoP) for?
The CoP is a dedicated space for employees of CARE Partner organisations who support or lead work in gender equality and the primary prevention of gendered violence, as well as other regional prevention practitioners and stakeholders.
What can I expect from participating in the CoP?
The CoP is an online, facilitated, safe, reflective learning space to share ideas, navigate shared challenges and explore the connections between theory and practice of primary prevention of violence against women in Loddon Mallee communities with regional colleagues.
Participation in this CoP offers support for primary prevention practice in your role, and is designed to energise, build confidence, and strengthen cross regional connections, and leverage the skills and knowledge in our cross-regional prevention network.
What have previous participants said are the most valuable aspects of attending the PVAW CoP?
"Fantastic to hear others’ stories, we are a wealth of information!"
“Peer support around projects, responding to backlash, frank discussions with likeminded colleagues, workshopping of specific topics”
“The collaboration between all participants has been outstanding. Valuable knowledge to use every day.”
“A safe welcoming space to talk freely. Also networking and sharing of projects and ideas between different entities who work in this space.”
“Reflecting on real life practice examples and discussing ethics and challenges in workplace/community settings.”
