PVC Instrument Making at Integrated ArtsPlay by the River
Event description
An ArtsPlay Session led by Mark Cain and Di Nailon.
This session will incorporate PVC instrument making, visual art and improvised music making.
Set on the Eastern banks of Kanamaluka /Tamar River you have the opportunity to play with a range of media and music / sound to give form to what you see and hear in this idyllic setting.
The workshop makes use of spaces such as an art studio, makers-shed and boat shed to generate personal, collaborative and integrated arts experiences. Designed for both practising artists and those who would like the chance to have a go at music and visual art in a safe and supportive environment.
Mark Cain is a WA saxophonist, composer and instrument maker who plays a variety of ethnic and self made instruments. He has toured internationally, led numerous community projects and has worked extensively in Indigenous communities. In the 1980’s he co-founded the groundbreaking concept group AC/PVC!
