Managing Resistance to Primary Prevention
Event description
Want to #PlayYourPart in stopping family and domestic violence, but worry about resistance and backlash to gender equality efforts? Want to feel more confident calling out sexism and disrespect towards women? Want to become a stronger advocate for change?
In the lead up to 16 Days in WA, build your skills and confidence to make a difference by attending our upcoming Managing Resistance to Primary Prevention workshop in West Perth.
During the workshop participants will:
learn to recognise and address different forms of resistance
learn skills and strategies needed to navigate and respond effectively to resistance
prepare and practice taking different approaches
learn to create inclusive environments where challenging conversations can lead to meaningful change
build skills, confidence and resilience as advocates for change
It would be helpful for participants to have a foundational knowledge of primary prevention including the gendered drivers of men's violence against women.
