Event description

PWdWA and ConnectGroups Disability and Peer Group Networking Morning Tea

People With disabilities WA (PWdWA) and ConnectGroups are holding a morning tea at the Geraldton Multipurpose Centre. The primary objective of the event is to bring together local organisations that offer essential services to the Geraldton community, fostering conversations and exchanging ideas to strengthen the collective efforts that support the community. This in-person event provides an excellent opportunity to connect with others in the disability and peer group community.

As Western Australia's leading non-legal disability advocacy organisation, PWdWA represents the rights, needs, and equity of people with disabilities by providing free individual and systemic advocacy and projects that empower them.

ConnectGroups offers practical assistance to new and established peer support groups, helping them to manage their roles in the community more effectively. By fostering empowerment among peer support groups, ConnectGroups provides a platform for people dealing with stressful life issues to share their experiences and offer emotional and practical support to one another.
