Event description

The People with Disabilities WA (PWdWA) State Conference 2025 is set to take place on June 19-20, 2025, at The Esplanade Fremantle. This year's theme, "Participate and Contribute,"  aligns with the Western Australian State Disability Strategy 2020-2030, emphasising the importance of inclusive communities where people with disabilities can actively engage and contribute meaningfully.

The conference will bring together individuals with lived experience of disability, community members, advocates, service providers, and policymakers to discuss critical issues and foster an inclusive society. Key themes include education, training, employment and leadership.

What makes PWdWA conferences unique?

  1. Lived Experience Focus: Our conference prioritises the voices and experiences of people with disabilities, ensuring that discussions contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society for people with disabilities in Western Australia.
  2. Inclusive Participation: It emphasises breaking down barriers to participation in all aspects of life, from employment and education to social and cultural activities.
