PYP Parent Information Session – A vertical alignment of a Unit of Inquiry

We warmly welcome you to join us for a workshop session that will explain in detail the vertical progression of one of our Transdisciplinary Themes: How The World Works. The units of inquiry that fall within this Transdisciplinary Theme are historically Science focused. 

During this session the PYP Coordinator will unpack the essence of the Transdisciplinary Theme with a specific focus on how each level year builds knowledge and understanding upon the last. You will then hear from two teachers from lower and upper primary who will discuss the learning and teaching in more depth, and will articulate the science skills and understandings that are covered in their respective year level. There will also be an opportunity for you to workshop and discuss how the concepts could be paired with the lines of inquiry.

The session will run for approximately 30 minutes with 10 minutes for questions and answers.
