PYT's Tech Training Workshops
Curious about what happens behind the scenes in live theatre? This hands-on workshop series is your entry point into the exciting world of production and tech.
Led by ex-PYT Production Manager Elyse Drenth, this program is tailored for young people ready to explore the technical side of the performing arts industry. Over three full-day sessions, you’ll build foundational skills in lighting, sound, and stage management. No experience needed—just curiosity and drive.
Topics include:
- Lighting and sound operation
- Reading and creating technical specs
- Working with directors and performers
- Backstage coordination and production processes
Outcomes
Participants will walk away with practical experience and a clearer path toward roles in tech and production for live theatre.
