    Event description

Kia ora e te iwi, come join us for a kōrero on Breast Cancer in Māori, Pasifika, and Indigenous Communities on 26 July 2023 at 5:30pm!

Breast Cancer Trials will be hosting a free Q&A about ‘Breast Cancer in the Māori, Pasifika, Indigenous Communities’ with a panel of top breast cancer experts from Australia and New Zealand, plus breast cancer survivors from Aboriginal, Māori and Pasifika communities.

In this Q&A event, BCT will be examining the issues facing women in these communities as they relate to breast cancer, the challenges of recruiting culturally and linguistically diverse patients to clinical trials, access to breast cancer screening, the collection of patient data to better inform policy and how outcomes for women in these communities may be improved.

Moderated by Journalist and TV personality Stacey Morrison, join a panel of experts as you hear first-hand from women that represent Māori, Pasifika and Indigenous Australian communities, about their breast cancer experience.
