Speaker bios:
John Na’em Snobar is the Director of Advocacy for Palestinian Christians in Australia, a former Australian diplomat and the grandson of the first Palestinian Anglican Bishop of Jerusalem.
Rouba Rayan is a Palestinian Australian Muslim lawyer and human rights advocate. Rouba’s father is a Nakba survivor. Rouba was the recipient of the Al-Haq Summer School Scholarship — she spent time in the Occupied Palestinian Territories learning about applied international human rights and humanitarian law within an occupied territory.
Max Gan is co-founder of Jewish Voices of Hope Brisbane and a social worker in the mental health field. A former Zionist who served in the Israel Defense Forces, Max is now a supporter of Palestinian self-determination.
Michelle McDonald is a Christian journalist and advocate for the rights of Indigenous peoples, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Palestinians. She works as the Director of News and Community Engagement for the Anglican Church Southern Queensland.
