QAMH is hosting workforce consultations in Cairns, Townsville and Toowoomba to discuss the Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Workforce Strategy Implementation project in-depth with interested colleagues.

Queenslanders working in the sector, who have accessed community mental health services and/or are carers of people with lived experience of mental health challenges are invited to register for these events. We are seeking a wide range of views as we work together in strengthening the Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Sector workforce.

Location: Level 3 of the Toowoomba City Library, 155 Herries Street, Toowoomba, QLD 4350

The agenda will include conversations on:

Core Competency Framework: Defining the essential skills for our workforce.
Career Pathways: Creating clear entry pathways and routes for professional growth.
Traineeship Model: Investing in an ‘earn while you learn’ way to enter our sector.
Cultural Responsiveness: Addressing the unique needs of the multicultural and First Nations workforce and communities.

Team leaders and frontline workers including peer workers and those with a First Nations, multicultural or other diverse background
People with lived-living experience as a service user or carer
