QArts Jazz Concert Series continues Sunday Sept. 27, 2026 with the Ron Reid Liberty Quartet

Presented by the Quincy Art Association, New England Jazz Connections, and JazzUrbane

Quincy, MA — The QArts Jazz Concert Series returns Sunday Sept. 27, 2026, at the QArts Galley, located at 1229 Hancock St in Quincy Center. Doors open at 3:00 PM, and the concert runs from 4:00–5:15 PM. A reception will follow the concert, with wine, cheese, and snacks available for a donation.

This concert features the Ron Reid Liberty Quartet. Led by Trinidad-born bassist, arranger, composer and educator Ron Reid, this group blends sophisticated jazz with vibrant Afro-Caribbean and Latin rhythms, featuring original compositions and inventive arrangements of classic standards

The QArts Jazz Concert Series is a collaboration between the Quincy Art Association and New England Jazz Connections, designed to:

• Build community by bringing people together through live jazz in an intimate, welcoming gallery setting.

• Connect music and visual art by creating meaningful dialogue between the gallery’s exhibitions and live musical performances.

• Expand access to the arts by presenting high-quality jazz in a nontraditional venue and welcoming both new and longtime audiences.

Admission is $15 ($20 at the door), $10 for students/under 18, and $5 for WIC/EBT holders.

This series celebrates Boston’s deep jazz heritage while creating new spaces for community, creativity, and connection.
